I'm ENGAGED!!!

Michelle is officially the love of my life, and she said YES!!!
We went up to the Biltmore Estate on Saturday and after being pointed to a nice off-the-map spot next to the river, the ring was burning a hole in my pocket, so i asked her if she wanted it. I then explained that to keep the shiny object she had to marry me (everyone loves the fine print). So even though the lack of romanticism is a lie, the engagement is true, and Michelle will someday soon have new initials!!!  |

whelmed again

My mind carries on, and my thoughts seem poetic,
but what do they hold if I feel so pathetic?
It is rules that constrain this rhyme and this verse,
but abiding by rules has created a curse;
It keeps us from living for the reason we should,
and entraps our mind, all the while seeming good,
but these rules and these laws we create on our own
go exactly against a true Love that's been shown.
For to live is to die! I hold that near to my heart,
for my greatest desire is simply never to part
from the Creator of earth, Lord of all that exists,
but with my very sins, I pierce his innocent wrists
Through the pain and the sorrow he looks on with hope
reaching out to a world that's at the end of its rope.
For the Love that He has could not be contained,
and that's why he served as the Lamb that was slain.
I break free from the shackles I created inside;
Christ is waiting for me with his arms open wide.
His silence reminds me of the need to slow down,
and to not just 'do something,' but to stand of firm ground.
"Guard your heart" says the Lord, and I did as he said,
but I had shut out the Light, and ended up dead.
But Christ conquers all, it's as plain as day,
Give your heart to Jesus, He's the life truth and way.

Spring Retreat

This past weekend we had Spring Retreat, and i forgot my camera, but while i was there i saw someone else's camera laying around unattended that was the same exact type as mine, so i stole it whilst the sun was setting and took this picture among others, but edited it with the most basic of photoshop commands. Compare it to the same one on Chris Mardis's webpage unedited. I see more clearly through my tears
as I clench shut my eyes,
but the new vision of my fears
is exactly what I despise.
I embrace what I hate,

to leave this world behind
with the renewing of my mind.
My body and soul collide
as my indifference consoles me,
but in plain sight I 'hide'
waiting for Him to come hold me.
This life is like a bad dream
where my evasion is in vain
but my captor is nothing to fear
for he has come with abundant life
But as I try to let go
I end up clinging to the life
that I do not want
For the life I desire

My Niece is too cute!

Ayla is my niece, and she is absolutely adorable. but don't tell her that, cause she already knows and uses it against me knowing i have a weakness for her. She gets away with too much as it is.
I showed Adam this picture and he said i should put it up in a blog, so here it is!

Yay! Halloween was fun, for someone i'm sure.

I personally didn't do anything for halloween, at least not by the typical definition of "do anything" i fell asleep on the couch watching TV with Michelle, but before that i used my dremmel to create MARSHIE!!!

| I remember this one time, about 3 weeks ago, my roommate Adam took a cutting board from the kitchen and brought it up to the room. He denies it to this day. I remember it vividly because when he took the cutting board i was like "whoa, i didn't know we had a cutting board." The End. |
