The Surf Report, Part 5

Ok, so I have not sent out an update in a while. This is mainly because I have been working a lot on finishing papers and such since the break in New Zealand. As past of that, I have not really been wandering around doing anything super-exciting or new that I felt I should write about, but that does not mean that it has been altogether dull around here. I have had a lot of good `local experiences' right here in Sydney in the past month or so, just hanging out with people and such. It seems like here at the end of my time here that more friendships are starting to solidify, kind of like what happens at the end of your first semester freshman year. And I leave so soon. I will be back in Va Beach in about 3 weeks. I am grateful for the friends that the Lord has blessed me with here and I will miss those people, but I am also looking forward to seeing many of you that the Lord has blessed me with back in the States, because I miss all of you very much! In fact, since I have been here in Oz, God has helped me to see even more what a blessing many of you are to me in ways that I might not of realized or had taken for granted. God is so good in all things, despite who we are or what we have done.
Classes ended last week, but I am actually starting my last (!!!) paper today- its due in a week. Last week we also had three visitors at our little flat in Bondi. One of my flat-mates had some friends studying at Melbourne University and they came up to see us. We cooked a big dinner one night and went out to the Rocks. You can see pics from this in the new 'Torch and Rocks gallery.' The 'Torch' is in there because I have a few pictures of the Olympic torch relay that went right by on Bondi Beach, and I did not want to create a whole new gallery for this. Anyways, the girls from Melbourne were a lot of fun and gave our flat a needed break from playing chess every night. That's right I said chess! We play a lot at nights now. It started out leisurely but it has gotten quite competitive now. There is a flat `title belt' now, which I am tenuously holding onto right now, as it has changed hands many times. I think I am due for a loss soon, but we'll see if I can hang on and maybe walk away with it. I have sold my bodyboard now- I know very sad, but it was time. My bike has also changed hands, which I am both happy and sad about. Happy because I can ride the bus like a normal person now and sad because my bike got me so far and got me in good shape.
I have started going to another group Bible study here as well. A friend of mine invited me to come along and they are quite an awesome bunch. I have really enjoyed the past two weeks of fellowship with them. So, though I have not been going anywhere new I have been having good times here in Sydney, but I am actually looking forward to coming back. Mom and Dad get here in one week! I am pumped to see them as I am sure they are pumped to come to Oz. We have some exciting things planned, it should be a lot of fun. I am sure there will be some amazing pictures to put up when we get through with it all. Seeing as this is my last full week in Sydney, my next update will probably be sent from the US, so this may very well be the last surf report made in Oz, but I am sure I will put up another when I get back to recount everything me, Mom, and Dad do in the upcoming two weeks. Until the rock on and may the peace of the Lord rest in your heart!
