SNOW in the ATL!!

Snow in Georgia is awesome! It only comes once every couple years and last night was the most I have ever seen in Georgia. Now, I have seen it fall harder, but that was much farther north and on ski mountians. I woke up around 3:30AM to thunder outside, and then I heard people yelling. It didnt match up that people would be yelling if it was raining. So, I got up and looked outside, and what did I see??

The only thing that stinks is that some how Georgia Tech did not close. Every other school in the entire area shutdown today except TECH. Thats the Tech way for ya. Oh well, snow is fun no matter what.

This is just plain crazy!

I've been wanting to blog about this for a long time, and since I am trying to get back in the habit, here goes!
I can not believe that we have now put 2 more highly technological robots onto Mars. One, to travel that distance and end up in orbit around another planet is a chore in and of itself. Two, to land not one but two spacecraft onto the surface without crashing is equally impressive. Three, to have robots able to travel (although not too far) and take very precise measurments of soil and rock is AMAZING. Then to send the signals back to earth is pretty neat.
Take a look at this picture of MARS!! How cool is that.
Here is the catch. We can do all that but no solve simple problems here on Earth. Like letting people starve and go hungry, here in the US of A. We have plenty of technology and land to produce food for the entire county, we export who know how much corn, wheat, and vegetables to other countries. If they can't afford the food, make them work for it. Helping farmers or doing other jobs for food. Don't go thinking I am this crazy dude who wants everyone equal, liberial, communist man. I just hate to see wasted potential of this country and people suffer for things we can provide.
So thats all for that rant. But, I assure you there will be more. |

How COW!!

Its been so long, I am a loser and a BUM. I guess you can call me lazy because its so easy to use Adam's amazing website. So I am back and hopefully will be bringing you some of my thoughts in the comming weeks and months. Stream of conscience is my best writing style so thats what your going to get. Its not going to be organized and probably jump around, but thats how I think. Scary huh! Oh well. Lets see, I will try to bring the world up to speed with whats going on in my very exciting life. I did get the nose job talked about in the last blog, so so so long ago. I think it is back to normal, or atleast as straight as it is going to get. I hear women like men with crooked noses, look at Owen Wilson. He has to fend the women off I bet. Also, I am now gainfully employed by Rhodia chemical company. Making some good money and living in Spartanburg, SC, better known as SPARKLE CITY. Should be a good first job and I will be close to my sister at Furman, for atleast one year. Thats about it, the major things atleast. I promise to be more diligent, since I have time on my hands. The joy of being a graduating senior with a JOB!!

Nose Job??

Its been awhile since I left any messages, so here I am giving some updates. The first and most exciting event would be from last Thursday night. Just an little co-rec soccer game. No reason to get excited or expect anything wrong to occur. That is usually when things do go wrong. It was early in the second half when I went up for a head ball only to get smashed by another players head, RIGHT ON MY NOSE!! I have never felt that much pain before, I was dizzy and maybe even cried a little bit. Luckily it didnt bleed much at all. So I spent thursday night and early friday morning in the ER getting the nose X-rayed proving that in fact the nose was broken. Like I couldnt tell from it being crooked. I will have to surgery to fix it Bummer. Oh well, maybe I will come out looking much prettier in the end. I think thats the most exciting thing that has happened lately. Slightly busy week, Tech Basketball on Tueday night. Have to have a good crowd for Randolph Morris, make sure he picks tech instead of kentucky. Well I am off to get some work and sleep done. Hopefully more sleep than work.

First Look

WOW!!!!
That's all I can say about the exhibition game tonight Georgia Tech vs. Team Nike. Although we didnt play amazing, there were some bright spots on both offense and defense. B.J. picked up where he left off last season, Marvin had a decent game as well as Luke. The biggest surprise was 'Ish and his 21 points. I hope he can score that many during the season, if so it will be fun to watch. Defensively Robert Brooks and Clay Mo' were able to stay with there big men, which will be the biggest key to stopping a lot of teams. On a final note the DUNK by 'Ish at the end of the game was just plain INSANE. One of the best dunks I have ever seen in person. Thats all for now, I've got this oral presentation to work on for the rest of the night.

The beginning
|
The first Thursday of the semester with no class!! It rocked, I did nothing unless you count chillin or laundry as something. However, I did start playing around with this page and found that it is totally crunk. Check back often to see whats going down in my world. If your out there and need something to do tonight come checkout the Theta Xi co-rec soccer team. Guarenteed good time!
