Since changing positions at work I have wanted to take advantage of my company's data plan reimbursement and wanted a way to stay on top of work emails more than I had been. I needed something that would sync with our exchange servers and, for me, that was 2 choices, either a blackberry or a windows mobile device.
I am not a fan of paying a lot for phones. After all, the last phone I got, my Nokia 6682 only cost me a penny with my new at&t (then cingular) contract. This time I knew I would have to pay some, but a small fortune just to check email wasn't going to work.
After looking around and hearing thoughts from coworkers, I decided to pick up a Samsung Blackjack 2. The phone was on sale for $99, but since my contract still had 8 months left, it would be an additional $75. The grand total was $174 for the phone. (They really stick it to you with those contracts.)
Video The video quality isn't as good as I would've liked. It isn't any better than my Nokia 6682.

GPS The GPS works great with google maps. You'll have to be sure you have an unlimited data plan since driving around with this thing on really runs through the map tiles. That's a lot of data.
Camera Comparison The camera on the blackjack is 2MP. Not close to the biggest on the market and it lacks a flash. The pictures look great on the phone, but once downloaded, they are disappointing. The camera won't allow you to get very close, and the zoom feature is very slow. To me, the whole point of having a camera phone is to capture the random events in life that come up. I have serious reservations about this camera's ability to capture anything before it's too late.
Sorry for post this again. I have a BlackJack II and I don't have no problem with this phone. the picture and video was great. How do you enable gps to work with google map?
